They are embodied in the choice of the rooms, their distribution and the way of using the house. Diese Untersuchung zeigt, dass das Hofhaus auch in den syrischen Küstenstädten der traditionelle Wohntyp war. Die vorwiegend aus dem 19. Jh. überkommenen Beispiele entsprechen in ihrer Grundkonzeption den Häusern der syrischen Binnenstädte. Unterschiede manifestieren sich aufgrund anderer klimatischer Bedingungen in der Auswahl der Raumelemente, ihrer Anordnung sowie in der Nutzungsweise des Hauses. يُظهر هذا البحث أن البيت ذا الفناء كان نموذج السكن التقليدي في المدن الساحلية السورية أيضا. وتطابق أمثلة البيوت، الموروث أغلبها من القرن التاسع عشر، في تصميمها الأساسي بيوت المدن الداخلية السورية. وتتجسد الفروق بحكم الشروط المناخية المختلفة في اختيار العناصر الفراغية وتنسيقها وكذلك في طريقة استخدام البيت |
