In the oasis of Tayma, the usual Aramaic formulas are used, but North Arabian elements are also present in the habit of dating by major events. In Dedan/Al-'Ula, the Lihyanite inscriptions are characterised by standard year numbering along an eponymous system reflecting political changes. The Minaean colony of Dedan conserves its traditional system and occasionally refers to major events. | ||
