Description
Summary:Ps 33,10-11 corresponds to the application of Pr 19,21 to Israel and the nations in relation to the Yahweh's projects. Ps 33 looks to Ps 147 in presenting the miracle of the sea like a parallel to the return from exile. Ps 33 reaffirms the promises of God that Ps 89 proclaimed as a failure, particularly as regards the Davidic dynasty. In this way we have the rehabilitation of the king in Ps 33,16. However, Ps 33 also uses some of elements of the fourth book of the Psalter (Ps 90-106) which responds to the problem or the disappearance of the dynasty, particularly Ps 105; 106; 96; 98. Finally Ps 33, just like Ps 40, responds to the distress shown in Ps 69.
