Summary: | Within the elohistic Psalter (Ps 42-83), the psalms of Asaph play a part in the interrogation about the future of the Davidic dynasty. These psalms also mention the destruction and the profanation of the sanctuary. The psalms of Korah (Ps 42-49; 84-85; 87-88), and the allied Ps 89, present a rehabilitation of the sanctuary and open up to the nations, while at the same time noting the disappearance of the dynasty. A new period for the dynasty is presented in Ps 132 in relation to the new sanctuary. |
