| Summary: | This contribution aims to argue that universities are one of the privileged places in which the Church can put into practice proclaiming salvation by contrasting itself with the present reality, its interpretations and narratives. From this contrast a greater ability emerges for proclamation in and with society, in ways that respond to an extremely fragmented social and cultural context, in which the value of authority has been lost, and with it the heritage of tradition. In this way the pastoral university environment becomes a laboratory for educational alliances and a paradigm for pastoral care that can awaken in the generations an awareness of Christianity in view of its eschatological fulfillment.
