| Summary: | The book by G. Guglielmi talks about the vexata quaestio of the relationship between theology and history. It is a critical presentation of the theologian G. Ruggieri as well as an explanation of a precise vision of historiography. In this perspective, historiography captures the inescapable commitment that theology does not fail to be an "empty tautology", but, by reappropriating the indispensability of history, can be faithful to the message of Jesus of Nazareth. One highlights the "precariousness" of theology which, given its epistemological status, cannot be absolute, global and unconditional, knowledge as a certain trend of neo-scholastic theology wanted; but it is history that causes theology to go beyond itself and seek new forms of formulation and transmission. |
