Description
Summary:This paper suggests that Qohelet's political wisdom has both a prescriptive and a reflective aspect. Qohelet advises on courtly behavior, shares his perspective on political leadership, and suggests ways to deal with wickedness that exists with in the power structure of society. Qohelet believes that as long as there is a power structure, there is potential for injustice, oppression, and misguided motives in political leadership. Nevertheless, it is vital for a person to embrace certain attitudes in order to cope with it meaningfully. Qohelet reiterates that time and God's judgment are the affirming factors that offer hope.
