| Summary: | Existe uma relação intrínseca entre o Ocidente e a visão de mundo (Weltanschauung) judaicocristã. A secularização do protestantismo no Ocidente usufrui dos benefícios materiais do cristianismo, sem, porém, levar em conta a própria imaterialidade do fenômeno cristão. Assim, a secularização é a própria vocação da fé cristã que continuamente se esvazia a si mesmo e cumpre sua vocação (Berufung) no mundo por meio da profissão (Beruf). A pósmodernidade efetua uma ruptura com tudo aquilo que lembra o cristianismo: a dignidade humana, a beleza da arte e a noção de história. Com isso, ela retorna à era dionisíaca. |
