Specifically, the study identifies these themes in an unpublished manuscript from 1549-54 in Fondo Gesuitico 417 at the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale, Rome, reproduced here: the manuscript contains a list of the best Italian wines favored by Pope Paul III, along with the vines and methods used for making them. | ||
