Description
Summary:An inquiry into the subject of spiritual love among ‘authorities' on the subject—priests, rabbis, monks, and the like—drawn from across the major religious traditions, together with a spiritual group, reveals many facets of how this ‘highest' love can be approached. The questioning is in two forms, quantitative and qualitative, thus enabling assessment of more factual statements as well as of descriptions and opinions. The findings show that while there is no categorical agreement about the subject, there is broad congruence in the manner in which spiritual love is engaged with. A selection of topics are examined in depth.
