Der Sprung zum Social Freezing, dem medizinisch nicht begründeten Einfrieren unbefruchteter Eizellen, stellt eine Weiterentwicklung dar. Frauen sollen damit größere Chancen auf eine späte Schwangerschaft gegeben werden. Hieraus entstehen neue gesellschaftliche, medizinethische, psychologische sowie rechtliche Fragestellungen.

The leap to <span class="txt_italic">social freezing</span>, the freezing of unfertilized oocytes for other than medical indications, represents a development. Women should thus have greater chances of a late pregnancy. This affects social, medical-ethical, psychological and legal aspects.
