| Summary: | Proseguendo la riflessione del contributo pubblicato nel numero precedente, qui si intende centrare l’attenzione su un termine diffuso nei documenti del Magistero sulla formazione iniziale e permanente (al/nel presbiterato) nonché nello stesso Codice di Diritto Canonico: maturità. A partire da una riconcettualizzazione e ricomprensione del termine – inteso come processo e non come struttura – si rileggono le questioni relative all’orientamento sessuale. Queste saranno da interpretare alla luce di una maturità relazionale e affettiva di cui sono «proprietari» non solo i singoli candidati, seminaristi o preti, ma anche i contesti formativi e di esercizio del ministero. Following on from the reflection in the essay published in the previous is-sue, here I intend to concentrate my attention on one term widely used in the documents of the Magisterium on initial and permanent formation for and within the priesthood, and used also in the Code of Canon Law: Maturity. Beginning with a reconceptualization and a new understanding of the term – understood as a process rather than a structure – the questions related to sexual orientation are reread. These shall be interpreted in the light of a relational emotional maturity of which the «owners» are not only the single candidates, seminarians and priests but also the places of formation and of ministry placement. |
