Through mountain scenes, sky signs, and sea and land turbulence, Matthew's Gospel depicts the sublime as it reveals itself particularly within the natural world. Creation thus finds a place in the revealing of heaven's reign in this Gospel, pointing to the eschatological fulfillment of all things in the Risen Christ. | ||
