Description
Summary:The paper suggests the integration of two comparative methods as a basis for the articulation of an Analogical Comparative Theological Approach (ACTA) to the exploration of the encounter between theology and physics. ACTA integrates the methods of analogical isomorphism and comparative theology. It suggests focusing on points of discussion that are specific, relevant and engaging. A point of discussion should be an opportunity for the unfolding of the theological and scientific insights in a way that enables a cross-disciplinary enrichment. In this sense, its educational and missionary potential is substantial. Finally, the ACTA approach is applied to exploring the concept of energy which has a prominent role in both Orthodox theology and physics.
