Summary: | To be doers of mercy, we must first receive it as a free and unmerited gift. Beginning from an acknowledgement of the centrality of mercy in the practice of Christian prayer, this paper explores the beatitude of mercy and considers its application to the corporate life of the church. Reflections on the concrete works of mercy are inspired by Pope Francis' beatitudes for the saints of our time. |
