Summary: | Confirmation preparation has maintained its popular position among adolescents in Finland. Therefore, confirmation preparation has been studied widely in recent years. This article approaches the subject through new themes as it takes into consideration both social media and post-modern theories of the sense of community. The research was implemented quantitatively (N= 468) and respondents were Finnish confirmands. Research results indicated the heterogeneous group of confirmands to whom, as a challenge to future confirmation preparation planning, perceptions about their own parish, social media use and the sense of community were understood diversely. |
