Resumo:There are numerous difficult issues inherent in translating Jonathan Z. Smith's work into French, among which is the selection of essays to translate. In this piece, I discuss the reasons that led the translators to opt for his essay ‘Here, There, and Anywhere', a text that not only brings together many of Smith's lifelong intellectual concerns but also showcases his pedagogical skills.
