In fact, this movement of thought and action can be placed in one of three main categories of religion; it has the characteristic elements of a “religious philosophy”, like Buddhism; it can be considered a religion without a personal god but not without a concept of the divine. The belief in “singularity” (the coming emergence of a global superintelligence), proclaimed as inevitable by several transhumanist thinkers, offers a good example. | ||
