Daraus wird die Prognose abgeleitet, dass die Hypothese einer älteren Vorform von Jer 36 AlT auch künftig Befürworter finden wird. The present response to the article of Friedrich-Emanuel Focken argues that Focken’s theory, in spite of its claim to the contrary, is of a diachronic nature. The paper further highlights the inherent contradiction of Jer 36 which evinces features that seem to indicate a composition of the chapter only considerably after the events reported therein alongside features that seem to indicte a composition within a rather short period of time. In light of this state of affairs, it stands to reason that the hypothesis which holds that Jer 36 AlT testifies to a more pristine kernel of the chapter will continue to find supporters. |
