The House of the Forest of Lebanon, a monumental building in Jerusalem attributed to Solomon, is generally regarded as an armory within the palace. Evidence from biblical texts and from Yemeni iconography is presented here that supports viewing this House as a major temple competing with the House of YHWH, and silenced for this reason. |
