Description
Summary:With phrases such as "to fall within the spokes of the wheel" or "direct political action by the church", Bonhoeffer's early essay "The Church and the Jewish Question" (1933) seems to foreshadow the later Bonhoeffer's political resistance. This presumption, frequently recurring in Bonhoeffer research, is questioned critically in this paper. The hypothesis: Bonhoeffer's early statements are to be understood as the Church's resistance by her word.
