Summary: | The article reflects on a 2006 keynote about sex and religion discussing a topic the author has addressed as a central issue. Although the author has been involved in what has been known as the field of women and religion for decades, theory that is now emerging under the rubric of what is at times called 'critical religion', has led her to a different approach to the topic. The article reflects on the past and moves forward to introduce this trajectory of theory. The hope is to convince the reader that thinking critically about sex and religion together is a new and necessary adventure. |
