Description
Summary:This study follows previous research, which showed a significant difference between secular and religious television broadcasters in terms of the timetable for digital implementation. Using Rogers's (1962) diffusion of innovation theory, the study sought to investigate whether the personal backgrounds of religious broadcasting executives played a bigger role in this delay, compared to other variables such as economics. Results of the study show a significant difference between religious and secular broadcasters in terms of background and digital implementation, especially compared to other variables. The study also reveals a significant gulf between older and younger religious broadcasters in terms of background, attitude, and management style.
