A highly personal story of growth through psychodynamic encounter is interwoven with the communal story of struggles between therapeutic practitioners and the academy, which were played out at annual conferences in the early years of BIAPT. The tension between positive care and negative anxiety is traced back to biblical texts. This forms the theological reflection on a research project on church-based groups that demonstrated the need for greater understanding of their role in pastoral care. | ||
