Diese Re-Lektüre ergibt spannende Diskontinuitäten, aber mehr noch anregende neue Perspektiven im Blick auf unsere Gegenwart. Barth hat bereits klar den weltanschaulichen und religiösen Pluralismus seiner Gegenwart im Blick, und er weist der Kirche darin klar und dezidiert einen kritischen Platz zu. Barth reiht sich in Stil und Inhalt seines Römerbriefkommentars erkennbar in die Diskurse seiner damaligen Zeit ein, dennoch weisen seine Überlegungen darüber hinaus, sodass sie auch für die Diskursformationen unserer Gegenwart von Bedeutung sind. Although only the second edition of the commentary on the Romans by Karl Barth achieved the wellknown great effect, it still pays to re-read the first edition 100 years after its publication. This re-reading gives exciting discontinuities, but more exciting new perspectives on our present. Barth already has a clear view of the ideological and religious pluralism of his day, and he clearly and decisively assigns the church a critical place in it. In the style and content of his commentary on the Romans, Barth recognizes himself in the discourses of his time, yet his reflections point beyond that, so that they are also of importance for the discourse formations of our time. |
