Description
Summary:The use of church buildings has changed dramatically, and the purposes for which church buildings are used are as many as the individuals who use them. For this reason, the author offers a paradigm of symbols for capturing the worth and significance of church buildings: as spaces for protection (initiating advocacy in situations of vulnerability), as guest houses (promoting equality and solidarity), and as inter-spaces (of sacredness and transformation). In all this, church buildings reveal traits of the helping God.
