| 520 | |a Il XVI secolo è stata l'epoca che ha visto l'affermazione, sotto il nome di "Corpus iuris canonici", di un complesso di compilazioni medievali considerate come basi esseziali del diritto della Chiesa; allo stesso tempo tale secolo è stato teatro di importanti sviluppi che si registrano nell'ambito della legislazione a seguito della promulgazione dei decreti tridentini che divennero da subito un testo di primario riferimento destinato a svolgere un ruolo centrale nella vita giuridica della Chiesa cattolica. Il saggio cerca di mettere in evidenza, da un lato i percorsi attraverso i quali si cercò di completare ed aggiornare in conformità con lo "ius novissimum" tridentino il complesso di queste compilazioni, e dall'altro i risultati di questi lavori che costituirono un passaggio importante verso la codificazione moderna del diritto canonico. The sixteenth century was the age in which a complex of collections of Canon law, inherited from the medieval period, imposed themselves as the essential basis of the Church law under the name of "Corpus iuris canonici"; at the same time it was the age in which the decrees of the Council of Trent became a text of primary referenee playing a central role in the juridical life of the Catholic Church. The essay seeks to highlight, on the one hand, the paths through which it was attempted to complete and update in accordance with the Tridentine "ius novissimum" the complex of these collections and on the other the results of these works; they constituted an important step towards the modern codification of the Canon law. | ||
