| Summary: | La questione circa l'unicità o la dualità dei titolari della suprema autorità della Chiesa non è stata ancora compiutamente risolta a livello concettuale. Il rapporto non tanto tra Pontefice e Collegio episcopale quanto tra Papa e Concilio ha animato tra l'altro complesse e spinose dispute storiche di cui non si può non tener conto. Il contributo, facendo leva sulle acquisizioni del magistero recente (LG, CD, «Communionis notio», «Apostolos suos», «Pastores gregis», «Apostolorum successores») e sull'impostazione della legislazione vigente, analizza dapprima il panorama canonistico esistente, rilevando talune insufficienze e limiti delle sistemazioni proposte, e cerca, quindi, una linea di soluzione più rispondente e soddisfacente. Gli apporti più significativi da un punto di vista magisteriale sono legati al carattere intrinsecamente collegiale dell'ordo episcoporum, alla priorità della dimensione universale e congiunta del munus apostolico, al riconoscimento dell'autorità quale costitutivo interno dell'ecclesialità. La "complementarità organica" tra primato e collegialità indica la comune provenienza e destinazione apostolica: il Romano Pontefice e il Collegio episcopale "devono" necessariamente coesistere e si reclamano mutuamente. L'imprescindibile dipendenza ontologico-funzionale Papa-corpo episcopale può avere ricadute anche da un punto di vista terminologico e comportamentale. The question of the uniqueness or duality of the holders of the supreme authority of the Church has still not been completely resolved at the conceptual level. The relation, not so much between Pontiff and episcopal College as between Pope and Council, has animated, among other things, complex and thorny historical disputes, which cannot be disregarded. This contribution, bringing to bear recent contributions from the Magisterium (LG, CD, «Communionis notio», «Apostolos suos», «Pastores gregis», «Apostolorum successores») and the establishment of the legislation in force, first analyzes the existing canonical panorama, noting some insufficiencies and limits of the proposed system, and seeks, thus, a better and more satisfying way to respond. The most meaningful solutions from a magisterial point of view are bound up with the intrinsically collegial character of the ordo episcoporum, with the priority of the universal dimension, and joined with the apostolic munus, to the recognition of the authority as constitutive within ecclesiality. The "organic complementarity" between primacy and collegiality indicates their common apostolic origin and destination: the Roman Pontiff and the episcopal College "should", necessarily, mutually coexist and make demands of each other. This indispensable ontologicalfunctional dependence between the Papacy and the episcopal body can have repercussions even from a terminological and behavioral point of view. |
