| Summary: | In the City Rodrigo is raised, the year 1479. a confraternity, in which, twelve secular confreres begged the Kings Catholics the concession of the royal estate that the Jews were occupying inside the enclosure walled of the locality, to install in the lot a hospital, which took as a specific purpose the attention of the sick poor, obtaining the royal privilege in 1492. Mercy to the free financing of the hospitable building, with his church, which they contributed mirobrigenses illustrate across foundations on November 22, 1500 the first beds were placed, and three days later received the first poor represented by the institution. During the 16th cebtury, other two hospitable centers mirobrigenses fused with the Hospital of the Passion: that of The Piety, situated outside of the locality, and incorporated in 1563, which was giving assistance to the patients of males contagious, and the entitled one of Our Lady of Lerilla, within the walls of the city in the Field called of the Wheat, and incorporated in 1950, which was attenting to the peculiar poor that were crossing te former Way of Santiago. The statutory regulation of the contraternity, as collegiate person, and of the welfare foundation in the hospital, was an object of diverse ordinances, constitutions or lylaws, of which there are known still the original ones, nor either (second ones) of 1539, though mercy to this work the third parties are published by the first time, in force from the year 1612 up to the passes in the Advice and Chamber of Castile, by countersignature of the King Carlos III, in 1786. The functioning of the hospital comes ou to the present, governed by the Seventh statues approved in 2003, and for a second internal relulation approved in 1990 |
