Description
Summary:This study contains a short exposition of the usual doctine about every seven sacraments, coming especially to the medieval Spanish synods that expose the doctrine about the sacraments and how to teach the faithful people as true doctrine. Next there is a citique of some aspects of this generally admitted doctrine. Among other aspects, it is commented the so called baptism of desire of the blood. They are the same thing and that they are not the baptism, but the desire of the baptism. The amazing extent of the doctrine about the minister of the baptism and the narrowness as for the matter. The minister of the confirmation and of the holy oders has to be the bishop, but the same texts, that affirm this, say that the episcopate is simply an honor, which adds nothing sacramental to the order of priesthood. In the sacrament of the Eucharist it is referred the bread of wheat, and in the Eucharist and the reconcitiation it is mentioned the different treatment that is granted in these sacramants to the indelible character of the minister. St. Paul's doctrine about the marriage does not fit very well with the medieval validity of the clandestine marriage or of the marriage contracted nowadays without real profession of faith. In the sacrament of the anointing of the sick a few strange medieval beliefs are mentioned
