On the occasion the 30th anniversary of the Code of Canon Law, this article makes a balance of ist contributions and proposes the suitability of some punctual reforms of the legal text, in order to reflect the Conciliar anthropology and the theology more adequately. The proposals iure condendo deepen into three master lines that marked the reform of the matrimonial law in the Code of 1983: on one hand, the consequences of personalist understanding of marriage, that advises a further reflection on a juridical importance of the bonum coniugum and the conjugal love, as well as a reformulation of the chapters of error and of condition. On the other hand, the safeguarding of the ius connubii, which would demand changes in the regulation of simple validation (c.1156) and in the application of c. 144 by the ecclesiastical courts, as well as a reduction of the diriment impedidment.
