| Summary: | The Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum Coetibus represents the latest and maybe one of the most controversial developments in the relationship between Anglicanism and roman Catholicism. The Apostolic Constitution is the juridical means by which the Anglicans unhappy with recent initiatives taken in the Anglican Communion may enter collectively into full communion with Rome. It foresees the erection of the ordinariats, a category equivalent to dioceses but which are not mentioned in the 1983 Latin Code of Canon law.
