| Summary: | El artículo publica las instrucciones que la Secretaría de Estado le dió al nuncio Cicognani, destinado a representar a la Santa Sede en la España Nacional, en junio de 1938. En ellas se resumían las cuestiones más importantes que el nuevo nuncio debería tratar o afrontar. Por ello se le informaba sobre la situación religiosa, militar, diplomática y política de la zona gubernativa o republicana y de la nacional; sobre la fusión y supresión de partidos decidida por Franco y sobre la actividad caritativa desarrollada por la Santa Sede en favor de España. También se hablaba de la provisión de diócesis vacantes por asesinatos de sus respectivos obispos, de las estaban todavía bajo el dominio del Gobienro Republicano y de las que habían liberadas por el Ejército del General Franco, así como de las vacantes por la muerte, el traslado o las renuncias del obispo. Un apartado importante se refiere a la Cuestión vasca, a la pacificación de los ánimos, a los niños vascos llevados al extranjero y al clero vasco. Al nuncio se le dijo cómo deberían ser sus relaciones con el Cuerpo Diplomático y las del personal adscrito a la representación pontificia. Por último se le comunicaron las medidas religioss provisionales tomadas para España durante los dos años de guerra civil. The article published the instructions which the Secretariate of State gave Nuncio Cicognani, who was sent to represent the Holy See in Nationalist Spain in June of 1938. They summarise the most important questions which the new nuncio had to deal with or tackle. He was given information about the religious, military, diplomatic and political situation in the government or Republican zone and the Nationalist; on the fusion and suppression of parties decided by Franco and on the charitable activity undertaken by the Holy See for Spain. They also mentioned the provision of dioceses left vacant because of the assassination of their respective bishops, some of which were still under the control of the Republican government and others which had been liberated by the army of General Franco; there were also vacancies caused by the death, translation or resignation of the bishop. An important section deals with the Basque question: how to calm feelings, the Basque children taken abroad and the Basque clergy. The nuncio was told what his relationships with the Diplomatic Corps should be, and also how anyone attached to the papal legislation should relate. Finally, he was told about the provisional religious measures taken for Spanin during the first two years of Civil War |
