Summary: | The article proposes an articulated theoretical model meant to interpret the violence of proximity, especially those events where, within a relationship of love, the man is the aggressor and the woman is the victim. This helps overcome the ideological vision used to explain woman's condition in the world, using a system of abstract concepts which include such as patriarchy, male domination, power as violence, freedom as selfdetermination. In fact, starting from problems and obstacles, as well as from progress and policies, allows us to look to the future with hope. The proposed model is multidimensional and complex as it considers the specific situations and the interaction dynamics between man and woman, the socio-economic data and the type of family network, the characteristics of the community to which they belong and the policies to combat violence, as well as the symbolic-cultural elements that favor it.
