Summary: | The article intends to trace in an essential manner the presuppositions of a Christian spirituality of overlapping. The social reality appears increasingly fragmented and divided into segments. The theory of systems presents the image of the globe as autonomous and devoid of communication. At the same time, contemporary urbanization transforms the city's space by creating new social and cultural districts. For these reasons it is necessary to rediscover the gestures and practices of overlapping. The article analyzes some ethical, aesthetical and spiritual paradigms: Saint Francis of Assisi and the itinerant dimension of the Christian following; Michel de Certeau and the creative dimension of "urban overlapping"; Alex Langer and the idea of ecological conversion understood as the ability to bear the weight of the other, while crossing the natural and social "landscape".
