Description
Summary:The study is articulated in three stages. The fi rst indicates the problematic part, which is established by the observation that the phenomenon of globalization takes place within a techno-scientifi c culture of a homologating character, devoid of an underlying philosophical-theological perspective, capable of preserving, and at the same time, filtering the qualities proper to societies and religions of the people concerned. Owing to this hiatus, each group closes within itself, covetous custodians of their own religious traditions, as well as the language and customs of their predecessors. The second step involves the analysis of this scientifi c-technical situation, in the assumption that it is essentially confl ictual, because it is 'potestative', attentive, explicitly, to the outer side of existence and to the world of productive effi ciency. The third step involves the suggestion of a philosophical-theological picture with a Franciscan background that integrates the scientifi c-technical situation, which recovers the multi-dimension of the actual, and together, the role of characters of history as endowed with creative will returns. The basic thesis consists with a return to the biblical-Christian source in the Franciscan version, according to which the soul of the actual is not rational ity - the world is for that reason desired, not because it was rational but because it existed - but then again the soul of reality is creative freedom. In conclusion we mention some implications of a cultural and operational nature, which entails this change of paradigm. (English)
