| Summary: | Inwieweit die Embryonenadoption in Deutschland ethisch und rechtlich zulässig ist, ist umstritten. Der vorliegende Beitrag befasst sich mit der Thematik aus der Perspektive der durch dieses Verfahren entstehenden Menschen. Zentraler Aspekt ist dabei die Wahrung ihrer Würde, u. a. indem sie über ihre Entstehungsweise aufgeklärt werden und ihr Recht auf Kenntnis der eigenen Abstammung anerkannt wird. Doch selbst dann bleibt die Familiengründung durch Embryonenadoption eine lebenslange psychosoziale Herausforderung für alle Beteiligten das Kind, die abgebenden und die annehmenden Elternpaare. Es bleibt eine Kränkung für den so entstehenden Menschen, wenn er durch die Weitergabe als Embryo Objektstatus erhält. Vor diesem Hintergrund sollte die Durchführung der Embryonenadoption in Deutschland gründlich bedacht werden und allenfalls unter strikten Auflagen absoluten Einzelfällen vorbehalten sein. It is controversial if the use of embryo adoption is ethically and legally permissible in Germany. This article deals with the topic from the perspective of individuals who have been conceived by means of embryo adoption. Key issues include the protection of the dignity of such individuals through the disclosure of the circumstances surrounding their conception and by acknowledging their right to information about their genetic history. Moreover, family formation through embryo adoption is a life-long psychosocial challenge for all parties: the child, the donors and the recipient parents. It is humiliating for the individual conceived if he/she is objectified as a result of the embryo adoption. Against this background, any implementation of embryo adoption in Germany should be thoroughly considered and at the very least be permitted under strict constraints and in exceptional circumstances only. |
