| Sumario: | The Septuagint ranks among the most important documents in the history of religion. With its origins inextricably linked to Alexandria, from where it was disseminated into the rest of the Mediterranean world, the Septuagint is a paradigmatic case study of the essential exchange between Hellenism and Judaism. For the New Testament it is fundamental, for Early Christianity simply “The Holy Scripture“. This article provides a short introduction to the Septuagint, taking into account the current state of research. Die Septuaginta zählt zu den wichtigsten Urkunden der antiken Religionsgeschichte. In ihren Anfängen untrennbar mit Alexandria verbunden, von wo aus sie in den gesamten Mittelmeerraum gelangte, steht die Septuaginta beispielhaft für die Verbindung von Hellenismus und Judentum. Für das Neue Testament ist sie von grundlegender Bedeutung, für die frühe Christenheit einfach „Die Heilige Schrift“. Der vorliegende Beitrag bietet eine kurz gefasste Einführung in die Septuaginta unter Berücksichtigung des aktuellen Forschungsstandes. |
