Hieronymus has freely translated by formulating modal-explicative complex sentences. In den Vulgata-Versen Ex 26,9, Ri 9,45 und Jdt 11,15 findet sich jeweils ein Satzgefüge, dessen Gliedsatz nach der traditionellen Interpretation durch die konsekutive Subjunktion ita ut („so dass“) eingeleitet wird. Es handelt sich aber nicht um konsekutive, sondern um modal-explikative Satzgefüge („indem“): nur ut leitet als Subjunktion den Gliedsatz ein, während das Modaladverb ita im Matrixsatz steht. Hieronymus hat jeweils frei übersetzt, indem er modal-explikative Satzgefüge formulierte. |
