Resumo:In each of the three Vulgate verses Ex 26,9, Idc 9,45 and Idt 11,15 is a complex sentence whose subordinate clause begins – according to the traditional interpretation – with the consecutive conjunction ita ut („so that“). However, they are not consecutive, but modal-explicative complex sentences („by/in …ing“): the subordinate clause begins with the conjunction ut, while the adverb ita stands in the principal sentence. Hieronymus has freely translated by formulating modal-explicative complex sentences.
In den Vulgata-Versen Ex 26,9, Ri 9,45 und Jdt 11,15 findet sich jeweils ein Satzgefüge, dessen Gliedsatz nach der traditionellen Interpretation durch die konsekutive Subjunktion ita ut („so dass“) eingeleitet wird. Es handelt sich aber nicht um konsekutive, sondern um modal-explikative Satzgefüge („indem“): nur ut leitet als Subjunktion den Gliedsatz ein, während das Modaladverb ita im Matrixsatz steht. Hieronymus hat jeweils frei übersetzt, indem er modal-explikative Satzgefüge formulierte.
