Summary: | As is well known, the nota acc. also occurs in passive sentences. An analysis of all verbs in the Hebrew Bible shows that one finds the nota acc. only in passive sentences in Niph‛al: it marks the agent in five wayyiqtol-sentences and the patient in four x-yiqtol-LF-sentences. There are only nine sentences. Can we conclude that in the use of the nota acc. an aspectual opposition is reflected: „Imperfectivity (ta-patientagent) vs. perfectivity (patient-ta-agent)“? |
