Der Beitrag beleuchtet kaiserzeitliche alexandrinische Philosophie am Beispiel des Ammonios Sakkas. Nicht die Gestalt des Ammonios und die Rekonstruktion seiner Lehre stehen im Mittelpunkt, sondern seine Schüler und ihre Positionierung in den religiösen und intellektuellen Diskursen ihrer Zeit. Es ergibt sich das Bild eines offenen Netzwerkes, in dem die Philosophie Intellektuellen aus verschiedenen religiösen Traditionen eine Denkweise vermittelt, die sie unabhängig von ihrer religiösen Zugehörigkeit entscheidend prägt. |
