These two fears compelled Qohelet to formulate his thoughts in a manner which might suggest that he advocates obedience to the king, when in reality he argues for following God’s commandments and avoiding the evils of the Ptolemaic rule. Es wird angedeutet, dass die Schwierigkeiten in Qoh 8,5-7 von Kohelets Angst vor der ptolemäischen Verwaltung und seiner Angst, dass Gehorsam gegenüber dem weltlichen Gesetz gleichsam den Gehorsam gegenüber dem Gesetz Gottes ersetzen würde, stammt. Diese beiden Befürchtungen zwangen Kohelet, seine Gedanken in einer Weise zu formulieren, die vermuten lässt, dass er für den Gehorsam gegenüber dem König einsteht, er jedoch in Wirklichkeit für die Befolgung der Gebote Gottes und die Vermeidung allen Übels der ptolemäischen Herrschaft eintritt. |
