Description
Summary:The author searches for the condition of the possibilty for the appearance of religions. Earlier attempts to justify this phenomenon by means of religious experience prove unable to withstand the critique. No universal religious experience exists and neither could it be the root of religions. Whereas religious experience is always plural, religiosity, as a generel human potential, is a universal phenomenon. It is defined as the feeling, arising in self-consciousness, of indebtedness of one's existence to an indeterminate.
