| Summary: | 1. Only in the field of textual criticism is it possible to speak about incoherence of OT-texts; only texts (or parts of texts) with errors from the textual tradition can be seen as incoherent. 2. The literary growth of biblical texts has to be seen as an intended process of auctorial intentions. They produce their own coherences. Therefore we can find in such texts inconsistent structures of coherence. There are problems of coherence, but never incoherences. 3. If the texts as a rule have to be seen as coherent, they can legitimately be used to reconstruct aspects not only of style, grammar and etymology but also in some degree of the background-knowledge („Weltwissen“). 1. Von Inkohärenz ist nur zu sprechen, wenn Texte bzw. Textteile aufgrund von Überlieferungsfehlern zustande gekommen sind. 2. Literarische Wachstumsprozesse gehen auf intentionale Handlungen zurück. Sie bringen Kohärenzen hervor, die unterUmständen divergierende Kohärenzenstrukturen zur Folge haben und dadurch Kohärenzprobleme darstellen, aber keinInkohärenzen sind. 3. Die Texte selbst, da sie in der Regel als kohärent anzusehen sind, bieten die legitime Grundlage zur Rekonstruktion von grammatischen, stilistischen und gattungsspezifischen Kenntnissen, aber auch von fehlenden Aspekten des für das Verständnis der Texte nötigen Weltwissens. |
