Jes 34 verwendet offensichtlich Material aus Jes 1-33 (im Besonderen gilt dies für Jes 13-14 und 30) und 56-66. Die Darstellung des Gerichtes gegen Edom in Jes 34 ist jedoch eine Übertragung des Gerichtes gegen Israel aus Jes 1 (siehe 1,2.4.11.30). In diesem Zusammenhang verwendet Jes 34,1-2 Material und Vokabular von Jes 40-55 (siehe 40,26; 41,1-2; 42,5.10; 43,28; 54,8). |
