Description
Summary:The article has the purpose to discern the place of prayer in relation to the ecclesial action. For this, the paper deals first with the Trinitarian structure of Christian prayer that has the Father as the end, the Son as the way and the Holy Spirit as origin and means, and then the Church (also as means). The second look is directed towards Christ's prayer, which is salvific event. Christian prayer, as participation in Christ's prayer is also saving event. From this point, the article develops the following contents: the Church as subject of Christian prayer, in which Christ prays originating, presiding and invigorating Christian prayer; the central place of prayer in the ecclesial action; the relationship between the two fundamental forms of Christian prayer in Ecclesia: personal prayer and liturgical action and at last the social, ecclesial and cosmic consequences of the life of prayer, that is, how prayer transforms the world.
