Description
Summary:The main objective of this study is to ascertain the origin, explain the concept, classify the kinds, highlight the categories, and illustrate the economic implications of land ownership with special reference to poverty alleviation particularly in Pakistan. This is an evaluation and judgement of the relationship of land and its owner. This work endeavours to understand the general concept about the formation of land ownership laws within the broader theoretical framework of Islamic jurisprudence, the science of "Fiqh". The question of whether land is individually or collectively owned, though, is the fundamental question. But what economic implications this concept has with special reference to poverty alleviation occupies an important position in the teachings of Islam. Jurists and economists of all schools of thought have addressed the matter of land ownership which is very closely related to, and in fact forms, a significant part of the social welfare institutions of Islam.
