Description
Summary:N. T. Wrighc unfolds a fresh and comprehensive interpretation of the theology of Paul. He locates this theology in the broader worldview and the closer mindsetof Paul's choughts. Paul is perceived by Wright as a deeply Jewish theologian, who lived and argued in the World of the Roman Empire. The starting point of Paul's theology according to Wright is God's plan to rescue the whole created world and all mankind. This plan will be realized through Jesus, the representative of Israel, who brings salvation not only to Israel but also to the gentiles. The story narraced by Paul includes reinterpretation of the Jewish understanding of God. In an eschatological perspective all who believe in Christ, Jews and gentiles, will be united as one people in Jesus, the faithful Messiah.
