Summary: | This article seeks to deepen the theme of a search for meaning in suffering. The first idea presented is the ineffable character, the mystery and uniqueness of this experience, linked to the personal characteristics of the subject. The Christian interpretation is presented originality of according to the thought of Max Scheler, in the face of diverse positions that try to annul or negate suffering and create a break between suffering and the affective sphere of the person. The central objective of this argument is to show how holding on to meaning in suffering requires that is be faced and not negated or removed, but welcomed as personal living, as a possibility of transcendence, orientation beyond, gift of self for the love of Someone or something, knowing fully well that the meaning of suffering is live itself.
