| Summary: | Le communautarisme musulman fait partie de ces évidences largement partagées et rarement documentées et établies scientifiquement. L’article s’interroge sur les significations multiples qui s’attachent au terme communauté et à son dérivé communautarisme. Il montre comment ce dernier est devenu, chez les pourfendeurs de l’islam comme ses apologistes, un instrument politique et l’expression d’une idéologie. Loin de clarifier la compréhension des évolutions en cours parmi les musulmans, il entretient et aggrave les ambiguïtés et les malentendus. Muslim communitarianism is part of the foregone assumptions that are widely shared and rarely documented or scientifically established. This contribution considers the multiple meanings tied to the term community and its derivative communitarianism. It shows how the latter has become, amongst the opponents and the defenders of Islam alike, a political tool and the expression of an ideology. Far from clarifying the understanding the evolutions underway among Muslims, the term fuels and aggravates ambiguities and misunderstandings. |
